Audio of the short conference held by Lündrub Ghialzen Trinle Namghiel, the forth Ciusang Rinpoche, on the life of Geshe Yesce Tobthen, the first resident Master of the Institute, translated by Lobsang Dondhen, on September 21st 2016 at the Lama Tzong Khapa Institute.

The Ven. Ciusang Rinpoche is the reincarnation of Geshe Yesce Tobden's Master, and spiritual guide of the Cian Ciub Ciö Ling Center in Polava (Udine). The Ven. Lobsang Dondhen has been Geshe Tobden's attendant.

Brief biography of Ven. Ciusang Rinpoche

Lündrub Ghialzen Trinle Namghiel is the forth Ciusang Rinpoche of the Sciung-pa Kanze of Sera Me. He was born on November 15th 1976 in Namsciöl, Scigaze, Tibet.

In 1988, he was recognised, following accurate investigations, as the reincarnation of the third Ciusang Rinpoche by His Holiness the Dalai Lama and he was officially acknowledged during a solemn ceremony at the Sera Monastery in central Tibet.

From 1988 to 1992 he received initiations, oral transmissions and instructions from various Masters.

In 1993, having escaped Tibet, Rinpoche arrives in India wearing secular clothes and presents himself at monk Lobsang Dondheni's door.

The next day he is accompanied to the hermitage of venerable Master Geshe Yesce Tobden; their encounter is touching: Venerable Geshe Yesce Tobden meets the incarnation of his Root Master for the very first time.

This episode sets the premises for meeting His Holiness the Dalai Lama and entering the monastic college of Sera Me in south India, following Venerable Geshe Tobden's advice.

Here Geshe Yesce Tobden entrusts Ciusang Rinpoche to the impeccable Master Ghen-la Thubten Rinchen, with whom he starts a diligent study of the Prajna-paramita.
As a result of his committed efforts, Rinpoche progressively masters the Rig-ciung debate at the college of Sera Me in 1996; the Gia-Gun-Ciö debate in 1997; the Rig-cien debate at the great assembly of Sera Me in 2010.
In 2011, Rinpoche obtains the degree of Geshe Lharam-pa during the great Festival of the Prayer (when all the monks of the three big Gelug-pa monasteries from Sera, Drepung and Ganden, are reunited).
Starting from 1993, Rinpoche has been receiving initiations, oral transmissions and instructions from around twenty Lama of the different schools of Tibetan Buddhsism, especially from Ven. Dakpa Tritul Rinpoche and His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
Since 1997, he has taught other monks, leading more than 10 classes a day.
Currently, Rinpoche is concentrating on the study of the great texts of the “Secret Mantra”, at the tantric monastery of Gyutö.
